Coming polls not the time to experiment: CM

Coming polls not the time to experiment: CM

Sandakan: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman cautioned Sabahans to refrain from turning the coming 13th General Election into an experiment to change governments.
Musa, who is also an Umno Supreme Council member, said the people should be smart in choosing to support the Barisan Nasional (BN) government for mutual gains and to ensure the continuity of the government's development plans.
"The Government knows what's best for the people, so they must have the confidence in the government to plan carefully for the nation," he said at a gathering with the villagers at Kampung Gum-Gum, Saturday.
Based on the present scenario, he said the people in the state appeared to be confident of the BN government's capability and were seen to be supporting them.
Musa also presented letters of appointment to the chairman of the Village Safety and Development Committee chairman for the Gum-Gum state constituency and aid to several students who excelled in the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) and Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examinations.
In SEMPORNA, Umno Vice-President and Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal reminded the people that there was a vast conflict between the opposition coalition parties struggles which could jeopardise the nation if they were allowed to rule.
He cited the example of PAS' fight for an Islamic nation while its coalition partner DAP retaliated, 'over my dead body', saying both sides were showing their extremist tendencies even before forming any government.
"We (the people) must consider our choice of candidates and parties carefully.
We must consider it in the larger context for the nation's well-being. Malaysia has already reached so far under the BN government," he said at a gathering in Kampung Lahat-Lahat.
